With an undergraduate degree in English, graduate degrees in law and psychology, and certification as a lay analyst, Myra Bellin brings a diverse background to her nonfiction writing. Before earning an MFA in creative nonfiction, she practiced civil litigation in Philadelphia, PA, taught law courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and worked as a lay analyst.

Myra plays the piano; Bach’s fugues, Mozart’s piano sonatas, Debussy and Schumann. In spite of the fact that she can barely swim, Myra is an enthusiastic scuba diver. She has earned advanced open water and NITROX certification from PADI.  She and her husband love to travel; Myra documents her trips in photos and included her travel photo blog in this site.

Myra lives in downtown Phila with her husband, Ira. She has an adult son, Michael, an adult stepdaughter, Anna, and two wonderful grandsons.
